Dr Alice Williams

I am a HCPC registered Clinical Psychologist specialising in working with children, young people and parents for over 10 years in the NHS. I have worked in Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) and Children’s Hospitals both in London and Hampshire.

I have additional training in and experience of a number of different therapeutic models which allows me to be flexible and find the best fit for the person and/or family I am working with including but not limited to Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Narrative Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and systemic therapies. My training and experience in CAMHS settings means I can offer support for young people and families for a range of presenting difficulties.

I also have extensive experience working with psychological distress in the context of physical health. My work has often focused on working alongside families adjusting to living alongside chronic health conditions, and I continue this in my NHS practice.

The most important aspect of my work with young people, adults and families is developing a secure, safe relationship in which we can explore, in confidence, the difficulties bringing you to therapy.
